California Bluegrass Association

The California Bluegrass Association (CBA) is a California Non-Profit Corporation which was founded in 1975 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The CBA is dedicated to the furtherance of Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Gospel Music in California.

San Diego Folk Heritage

San Diego Folk Heritage presents folk musicians and groups in concert around San Diego County, plus has links to a number of other activities such as contra dances, folk song groups, etc.

North County Folk Song Society

Please contact Audrey Anderson at drama@yahoo.com to be placed on a mailing list for dates, locations of folk circles. This is a small north county group of very nice folks playing the true folk tradition.

Poway Folk Circle

We are a group of local musicians hosting folk circles and bluegrass jams (+swing and blues) on a weekly basis.  We are working in coordination with the San Diego Folk Heritage.  Our folk circles feature Americana, roots, folk, blues, bluegrass, and traditional music from around the world using acoustic instruments.

San Diego Folk Song Society

We've been getting together to sing and play since SDFSS was first founded by Sam Hinton in the 1950s. We welcome all instruments and people at all levels of musicianship, from beginners up, so, please, don't be shy. We invite you to come, bring your songs, your instruments and your friends. San Diego Bluegrass Society

The San Diego Bluegrass Society is our partner in producing Summergrass San Diego. They host open mics and music nights with lots of jamming on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Tuesday of each month around San Diego County.
